Refund and Cancellation
How billing, cancellation and refunds work. Written plainly, because a policy nobody can follow is the reason most billing disputes start.
01How billing works
- Subscriptions are billed in advance for each period — monthly or annually, as chosen at checkout.
- Usage above a plan's included volume is billed in arrears at the published rate, on the following invoice.
- Invoices are issued by email and are available in the dashboard.
- Prices exclude VAT, sales tax and other applicable taxes, which are added where required.
- A subscription renews automatically until cancelled.
Current prices are on the pricing page. If a price changes, the new price applies from your next billing period and we give at least 30 days notice first.
02The free allowance
Every new account includes 500 messages at no charge, with no card required. It exists so you can verify a domain, publish the DNS, send real messages and look at the delivery records before deciding whether the platform works for you.
Nothing is charged until you choose a paid plan. There is no automatic conversion from the free allowance to a paid subscription.
03Cancelling
Cancel at any time from Billing in the dashboard. No notice period, no cancellation fee, and you do not have to contact support to do it.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. The service continues until then.
- Any usage already incurred above your included volume is invoiced normally.
- After the period ends, sending stops. You can sign in to export your delivery records and suppression list for 30 days.
04When we refund
We refund in these cases:
Within 14 days of a first paid subscription
If you upgrade from the free allowance to a paid plan and decide within 14 days that it is not right for you, we refund that first payment in full. You do not need to give a reason.
A duplicate or mistaken charge
Refunded in full, as soon as we have confirmed it.
A charge after cancellation
If you cancelled and were billed afterwards, that is our error and it is refunded in full.
A sustained outage on our side
If a failure of the platform prevented you sending for a prolonged period, tell us and we will credit or refund the affected part of the period in proportion. This covers platform failures — it does not cover a receiving provider deciding to filter or refuse your mail, which is outside our control and is explained in the Terms.
Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days depending on the bank.
05When we do not
Stated plainly so there is no surprise later:
- Part-used periods on cancellation. The service remains available to the end of the period you paid for, so it is not unused.
- Usage charges for messages already sent. The sending happened and cost us delivery capacity.
- Accounts terminated for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy. An account suspended for sending to a purchased list is not refunded.
- Deliverability outcomes. Messages that were accepted by us and transmitted, but filtered or refused by the receiving provider, were delivered as far as the service goes. We will help you diagnose it — that is what the delivery records are for.
- Annual plans after 14 days, other than in the circumstances in section 04.
06Failed payments
If a payment fails we retry over several days and email you. Sending continues during that window.
If it remains unpaid we suspend sending, after telling you. Your data and configuration stay intact and the account is reinstated as soon as payment succeeds. We do not delete a suspended account's data for at least 30 days.
07Chargebacks and disputes
If a charge looks wrong, please write to us first at billing@bookmyspot.us. Almost every billing dispute is a misunderstanding about a usage charge, and we can look at the invoice line and the message count behind it within a day.
A chargeback raised without contacting us costs both sides fees and takes weeks. We may suspend an account with an open chargeback until it is resolved.
08How to ask
Email billing@bookmyspot.us with the invoice number and what you would like us to look at. We reply within one business day.
Nothing in this policy affects statutory rights you have under consumer law in your country, which apply regardless of what is written here.
