Gmail & Yahoo sender rules: what bulk senders must do
Since 2024, Gmail and Yahoo enforce a baseline for anyone sending bulk mail. Miss it and your mail is throttled or junked.
The checklist
- SPF and DKIM must both pass and align with your From domain.
- DMARC published, at minimum
p=none. - Complaint rate under 0.3% — Gmail acts at the domain level.
- One-click unsubscribe (RFC 8058) on bulk mail.
- Valid forward and reverse DNS on the sending IP.
